Ødel

About the Story :

After the mysterious disappearance of many people in 1987 in the province of Windyal, a small village under the control of a sect, the cause of the disappearance is announced: collapse of the mine tunnels. However, several rumors begin to circulate in the area about a monster named Ødel, which would have been the origin of this one. In 2013, Darren Hjørnevik, a renowned archaeologist, decides to carry out his own investigation but finds himself stuck in the underground passages of a building after having crossed the security lines.

About the Gameplay :

In this Puzzle and reflection game in top view and with a realistic and dark atmosphere. Get ready to play as Darren, a renowned young archaeologist, and help him find his way through the labyrinthine undergrounds of the Stavkirke while paying attention to correctly complete the mirror level of Ø, the spirit attached to Darren since his arrival here. For this, you will have to pay careful attention to the passages to take at the beginning of each level in order to avoid death to your spirit and thus access the survival of your companions. The game is distinguished by its innovative gameplay as well as its ability to reflect its innovation through its complex Level Design.

About the Realisation :

Ødel is a game that I was able to develop during my second year of study within a team of 5 peoples. During the production of our project, I was able to participate in the Game Design part of the game including the lore, the story, as well as the universe of it and its dialogues. I was also able to be in charge of the development of the different levels of the game as well as responsible for the Sound Design and the interfaces as well as the navigation through them.
